grandmother rose

my granny's birthday is in november and xmas is not to long away. was looking in a catalogue about getting a new type of rose or flower named after you. has anyone tried this? i thought it was something special for her chirstmas.....any ideas for her birthday? not jewellery or perfume coz she has too much!
