Does anyone have a Fatboy Original ? If so, would you perform a small experiment for me please! Is it possible to mould Fatboy into a 90 degree angle lengthwise, i.e. the way you would "fold" it if you were to place it as temporary padding on a wooden settee? Thanks!

I ain't got a clue what you ain't got a clue about Vinny but I do believe all of us would be great together in an old people's home, we never know what we're talking about.

Hypnotizing song here but don't watch the video if you're creeped out by... erm... dead bodies and stuff! <Resident crime queen Shaney snuggles up in front of the screen>

Hello possums, am I the only biddy in the world who isn't covered with snow?

"No I want these clothes living above my head till I die", "loft girls wearing all the clothes that don't fit you anymore" - that Man Drawer was hilarious, Robinia! "There will be an elderly man awaiting you, you must pay him in drachma" - I laughed so much I had to rewind over and over again to hear what he was saying. Eddie Izzard could have done that monologue. (Love Eddie.)

Okay biddies, fess up, which one of you called Vinny a southern softie last night? Or was it that garden gnome, the one he seems to do an awful lot of talking to, ha ha - just chillin' with my gnomies, ha ha ha.

Think I'll go post The Chicken Police in A&N and see if anyone can come up with a theory as to why they're being such busybodies - I'm really intrigued.

your poster is in the news, woofy - here
Afternoon Each hope you are all ok. I have been catching up on The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. Ha Ha !
So I'm ready when you are Neti I think Tom Gordon helped her in lots of ways during her trial but the main stay was her Dad, as she kept remembering things he had told her through her short life and he was the one who understood her the most especially in the final scene.
I have another Stephen King book to read now call Duma Key. My son and his wife bought it for me for Christmas and there are 688 pages. So it could take me a while to get through.
Off now to listen to the match Rams V Forest. Wish us luck.
Bye for now :o)

But, but, but jude what about the "thing" was it kind and watching over her, and obviously she re-acted badly at the end cos she didn't know,, or was it evil and if so why didn't it get her earlier on??? Fab book, my favourite I think!

Evening all - <<bends knees and doffs cap>> been busy all day on msn and chatting and free fone calls.
Forest have scored within the first 2 mins so I'm not a happy lassie. 13 mins in Forest 2 - 0 Boo Hoo.!!

Neti
I think the 'thing' was just a benign being in her mind and was never any danger to her as her Dad always came up with one of his sayings which made her feel better. Tom was a strong influence as well but deep down her Dad was the one. He never appeared to her but he was there in her head. That's me simplistic view and I'm sure everyone who reads that book has a different one.
I agree though with you it is a great book and one you have to read more than once.

Oh well beck to the match bye for now !!
But (again) jude, the farmer who found her also saw the thing, but presumed it to be a bear.
Well Neti the 'thing' was a bear all the time and Trisha was delirious and she saw it as the 'thing'

Sorry to interupt but The Rams have just scored again and are winning 3 ~ 2 hurray!!!!!!!

Now back to the book. just like I said everybody will have a different point ot view and while I think Tom played a big part in saving her mentally her Dad was the saving grace even though I realize he didn't seem to play a big part but he was soiid in his way with her. I don't see the 'thing' (bear) saw her as a threat and in his way cared about her as a mother would a cub.
I look forward to your comments with interest Neti It's good to hear a different take on the story,
