Does anyone have a Fatboy Original ? If so, would you perform a small experiment for me please! Is it possible to mould Fatboy into a 90 degree angle lengthwise, i.e. the way you would "fold" it if you were to place it as temporary padding on a wooden settee? Thanks!

Lol Jude none of us know what anybody else is talking about do we... No I was asking Shaney what it is that Germans say about IKEA, but it could be that I'm being thick and that it's somehow implicit erm if you speak German or something, maybe "ikea" sounds like something else in German, who knows... I liked your meerkat, though!
Question Author
(and the meerkat i was on about was the one that robi posted)
Oh well....prepares to duck....runs and hides in Vinnys igloo.....
but the Germans are not fond of Ikea and they say that ...........Idioten Kaufen Eben Alles ......get it ?
That's my gold edged invite out the window and I had polished that tiara to within an inch of it's life .Phew !!
heee, what time's the fight start?
<opens pkt bscts>
Oh poop Robinia ..I've had a drink and I am so depressed and fed up. I shouldn't be so down in the mouth Worse things happen at sea as they say and life goes on ..as they say ..why do these things get to you .Why do I need some filler for my wrinkles because I'm worth it ?
Oh take no notice .....I'm on a downer and ache from my backside to breakfast time .
And if that Vinny isn't on time with me toast and eggs I'll send him a frozen seagull .Turn that light out :)))

A little something to cheer our Shaney up...

I'm off to the annual furniture fair - actually never been before. Anyone need anything indispensable? (I swear I would this lamp kaufe if it were in production!)
Is safe to venture in or is Jno hiding under the Fatboy waiting to jump out and hit me over the head with a state of the art frying pan ?
Sorry for my maudling on and being generally bolshie :(
It'll pass.
We were going through some of the boxes and came across this box of cassettes .I thought they would have deteriorated after all this time but no .And there they all were ,even Mr S's grandmother .
It was enough to drive yer to drink so I did :))
Have a good Sunday all and keep warm .No snow here :)
helloo...are we open on Sundays?

Now don't be so daft mrs s, you weren't being maudlin or bolshie, we all feel like that (more often than not at the moment) & if you can't throw your pot dolly out of the pram in here where else can you? Yes, worse things happen, but we're human & we have to allow ourselves to be sad & angry sometimes. So dunna fret, none of us tek oursens seriously enough to tek umbrage at owt anyrowd....

I've been wearing my colander all afternoon though, not for fear of flying tiaras but because bloomin great lumps of ice were falling off the roof. The good news is it's warmed up a degree or 2.....the bad news is, my sister's just told me it's snowing huge flakes again over her way....grrrr.

Morning all - just took the above picture on an early morning walk, look at the sun, but it's a bit chilly. Hope you are all warm.

and the award for the Excuse of the Year (in suggs) goes to ....
....unreal

<looks round for sommink to throw>

lovely picture, neti, wish I had something to look at other than redbricks and slush.
Question Author
...ah but that is a lovely piccy Neti. (Sunny here too actually, Robinia!) Morning possums - I'm "up with the c0ck" (as we say over here, meaning having risen as early as a rooster, well what did yous think) for the second day in a row, had breakfast aaages ago. It ain't my zen alarm clock that's working these miracles - 'cos that one doesn't work at all...

Enjoyed the Furniture Fair but the ole body hurts, yes indeed. Didn't really see all that much I wanted as my place is so small, but there was one thing... a four seasons downy camelhair duvet, the hairs gently combed :-D off camels in Tibet. Oh I know the "gently combed" bit may sound like humbug (like: "blessed by overtone-chanting monks") but I met the agent and believe me the handling of the animals was important to her, I trust her :-)

I wanna live in a place like this (but I don't wanna clean the windows)
well I'm up for sharing Sweedie, that looks lovely - maybe not the stairs tho - & not so far to lob the meatballs. I never thought I'd actually long to live in one of those light, open, spacious, (reasonably) minimal riverside apartments but now.....<goes into a dream>

and as if we didn't have enough problems here it's now getting foggy....marvellous
Question Author
Oh sure, we'll share the apartment Robinia- but we're gonna have to discuss who wears what!
good morning all. I am awake today and approaching normality...it is thwe weirdest thing, like the after effects of flu with no flu...no cough chesty stuff or temp, just so tired achey and tearful. I spent most of the weekend asleep. Its complicated by the fact that we have other stuff going on (still the legal stuff about Mum's will) which isn't helping one bit. DH has gone out today to deal with another little NON life enhancing situation that I won't bore you with. I saw the sad news about Cetti (she answered my first ever question on here so am going over to add my condolences thewn back to bed i think. The dogs are being sooo good which is just as well. Hugs (well sprayed with Jeyes Fluid, you guys don't want this) to all, especially Shaney. Just when you think the emotions are settlled down, something hits you out of the blue doesn't it?
Laters
lol Kit....and who's gonna be in charge of the computer...

Good to see you feeling a bit better woofy...I think these mystery illnesses are often the result of some trauma that you had to drag yourself through, even up to a year earlier, that surfaces as physical illness at some point.

I'm fed up of tottering from one problem to another, however small, it's the constant drip that gets you down....speaking of drip, I think Charlie's got a wee problem now....<sigh>
AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH

I don't believe it. They haven't got our flooring. The manufacturers said they had it all in stock and they lied.

It's going to take weeks to get it. It'll have to be done when we get back from our trip, in April sometime.

Dear God, is there nobody in this country doing their job right? Wouldn't happen in Sweden, would it, Kit? Probably wouldn't even happen in Norfolk.

I think I will go out and bomb somebody. I am cross.
Oh Lordy folks ..we are all in the sardine tin !
Glad to see you feeling a little better Woofy Hang on in old girl .It'll get better .It must .
No flooring in sight Jno ? Tut ....I was so looking forward to my tour too. I have a couple of very nice kilims you can borrow pro tem :) If you can dig them out of our storage container .
My place looks like Steptoes .I'm fed up with tripping over boxes and still sorting out paperwork .. and then you come across different things and it's upsetting .

Now you mustn't moan ...look at the poor Ed ..poor baby .Couldn't get to work because of the snow .What a load of old balderdash .He must think we came up the Thames in bucket
Hi All You sound about as down as I fee at the moment. I know just what you mean Woofy I could cry at the drop of a hat. Hope you feel better soon. The weather's getting me down too, Apparantly we're in for more snow tonight and here's me looking forward to getting to T'ia chi tomorrow.
Anyway sorry to be such a wet blanket but there it is and as you say Shaney there are people worse off than me and with far bigger problems.

I've just re-read what I've written and realized what a mizog I am!!
So I'm going to sign off and come back when I'm in a better frame of mind.
Take care all :o) xx
