What do you mean return...I still wear them.
Enjoyed wearing the shirts and ties.
Cant see any reason why it should,nt return.
Short answer - no!!

But it was good at the time.

Do you remember also the 'loons', worn by both women and men in vivid colours with multicolour buttons.

I had some yellow ones and purple platform boots!!
Morning DG. The sun has come out here in TT and the sheep are back in the field!! xx

I remember having a green stripey oxford bags , green platform shoes .

I thought i looked the business - yeah man i was cool looking
I thought the flowered shirt business was the 60s, platform shoes were the 70s and Oxford bags were the 20s. I'm not sure I would like all these back at once, especially if I'd just had my hair marcelled.
Flowered shirts were definitely around in the 70's jno. And Oxford bags made a return in the 70's with very wide waistbands.
Hi lottie,hope you are well.x
Glad all ok in TT and the sheep are back.Any lambs ?

cheesecloth shirts/blouses. velvet jackets.
the 70's the decade that fashiun forgot!!
mercia.. i think the 70^s fashion was really good. now the 80^s that was awful fashion. imo
I was 23 at the start of the 70's Trigs, I loved the whole era. I just gave my 70's leather jacket to my son's girlfriend. She looked great in it!! I can't believe I was that slim.

I loved the music too!!

I got married in 1972 in a dark purple trouser suit with wide flared trousers, purple platform boots and a huge purple cape!!

(I only got rid of my suede hotpants a couple of years ago - I just couldn't bear to be parted from them)
I agree Anne, the 80's fashion or the 80's music did nothing for me. I was wearing leggings then on a permanent basis. I still wear leggings under a very long top (almost knee length) But to be honest I hesitate to go out anywhere in them!!
As someone who wore all of the above NO! I look at the photos and think "what the hell was I doing" also I had a pair of very expensive "bags" made out of some sort of tweed, they were the itchiest things I ever wore BUT they cost a fortune.
Jno agree with Lottie although your right about the 60's outrageous(?) shirts were widely avaialble my passport photograph in the 70's shows me in a shirt covered in some sort of wheels.

I also had a Ben Sherman that had the Ant hill mob all over it.
