You go into a store, you need slippers, a nightdress, pyjamas, some apparel that you wear to bed, some wear nothing so doesn't count. You rarely find these garments without hearts, bows, polka dots, cute kittens, cute bears, and sickly tat that a 5 year would be ashamed to wear, so why do they make these for grown women. I don't want to go into a hospital wearing what looks like a babies castoffs, i know there are shops you can buy plain wear, but its not just limited to nightwear,i wish someone would tell them that many women don't like fluffy bunnies on their chests, unless its your bloke in a bunny costume, that's different.

It's me! It's me!! lol! .. I suppose it depends on your age & if you're in to girly / cutesy stuff? I never was.
I have never worn anything with bunnies or hearts, but I've never found it to be a problem really....
Yep, me too. It's very difficult to find something inbetween cutesy and ' old lady' button up to the neck nighties.

I wonder what the husbands think of their wives 'fluffy bunny / kitty/ puupy nightwear - I imagine it would be a bt of a passion killer

Karen ladies wear suits to the office, well most do, smart outfits for the odd evening out, then come home to put on rompers, lovely.
I didn't like this sort of stuff when i was a child, let alone now.
I have/will never do that, Im about as girly as a mudflap
I buy my nightwear from La Senza and I stick to the plain or stripy PJs. I used to like the ones with logos and slogans on but at 43 I think i'm too old for those now.
I think it was put very clearly into perspective when on the comedy Keeping Up Appearances, Hyacinth's sister (was she called Daisy?) used to wear these cutesy bunny-laden nightshirts to bed. Ridiculous looking. I think it's alright if you're 17, but beyond that, unadvisable.
I use to have some red tartan pyjamas .. loved them .. comfort!

i had to find blokes pyjamas, the same for a dressing gown when i went into hospital, because there were no plain ones in womens wear, in all the stores i tried, bags, cosmetic bags, same problem, i have been trying to find a plain little bag, just for small items, and all i have seen is leopard print, stripes that would make your eyes go wonky, or with pink bows and pink lining, have to draw the line someplace.
I know exactly what you mean, and I don't like them either. I did actually find, in Peacocks, a couple of nightshirts, one with 'Silly Moo' written on it and a rather nice black one with a picture of Animal from the Muppets (whom I adore).

I would no more wear pink bunnies than the average bloke would wear a pair of Action Man jimmers.

I saw an item in Primark, don't all shout at once, that was an all in one romper suit, you know the type, where all you can see is babies face, one for the women, which was bad enough, and one for the men, in tiger stripes, in an awful nylon material, i walked past, walked back and burst out laughing. They must of thought crazy old biddy, but who comes up with these ideas.
Oh yes, I glimpsed that tiger monstrosity too. Was that for blokes? Dear me, if your partner started wearing that you'd be seriously worried!
I like polka dots.
It IS you then, china doll!
Question Author
well only if it was messing about, and he took it off before coming to bed, it was indeed a monstrosity. Not even fit for a fancy dress do
I'm not against polka dots and hearts (and am guilty of having a one-sie; not the tiger one though!) but also have some lovely pjs from Primark; one set that are stripey and one that is checked. They also have some at the moment with big flowers on; kind of victorian-y looking ones.
Question Author
get ye gone scarlet woman, hearts and flowers, oh no.
Heehee; I'm currently wearing PJs with flamingoes on!
Question Author
you're banished. ding. Seriously i can't bear the way that women are often thought of as all fluffy bunny, hearts and flowers, ninnies, but its time to get the PJ's on, and to chill out.
