which perfume to buy
14 Answers
Can anyone help please? I would like to purchase a eau de toilette or perfume thats not too heavy something I could use every day (flowery )perhaps. I am confused to the many choices in dept. stores , and wondered if anyone has any particular favourites I could try. I quite like "Paris".
Thankyou for any help.

I tend to go for perfumes with floral bases and my everyday favourite is Hugo Boss Femme which is very reasonably priced (it's an EDP) and stocked at a lot of high street stores including superdrug.
Other nice floral perfumes are Chloe Narcisse, Mark Jacobs Daisy and Kenzo Flower.
My absolute favourite has to be Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf. Some people think that it is too overpowering but it is so beautiful. I keep that for special occasions as it's a bit expensive.
Carolina Herrera 212 Sexy is a soft floral which is really lovely. It's one of those ones I can smell all day if someone has asked for a tester at work :)
Last one :) If you like YSL Paris you should try Parisienne which came out a few years ago. It's gorgeous! One of my new regulars :D
Hope that helps haha! xxx

If you're that worried about choosing the right one, try it on your skin and not on a card. This way you get to see how it settles and how well it lasts. Perfumes smell different on different people, all to do with the balance of oils in our skin.
I digress... If you were to try one on each wrist tomorrow and a different two another day you should be able to make a good decision.
I love perfume but I usually smell them a few times before I commit to buying. That's why I hate getting it as a gift.... the majority of the time they never choose right :| lol

Eau de toilette is never very strong and does not last. I prefer eau de parfum which usually lasts quite a long time. I have just bought a bottle of 'Rose' by Paul Smith - on line - it was £40 or thereabouts (forgotten the exact amount) and with post and packing nearly £45. It is lovely. I used some this morning and asked the boys if they could smell it - I can never smell it myself - and one of them said 'mmm - roses' so Paul Smith must have got it exactly right.
