got back from Asda. She said all tobacco and cigarettes were behind sliding doors. With large signs on the doors saying you must be 18 to purchase them. It also said everyone must produce ID to verify this. Is this a government thing or an Asda thing.

Have to be 18 or over to buy tobacco products. It was changed from 16 in 2007.
