Bought a long string of netted bird food. about 12 different netted bags containing different nuts and fatballs. Hung it up from a tree on patio. Squirrel got onto it, chewed between on of the sections and ran off with about six of the bags, he must have thought it was his birthday. I took the remaining half down and have tied it across the bird table. See how long that takes him to remove it.

lol survival of the fittest!
Uh oh - I predict a string of "kill" "shoot" "maim" posts from AB's resident animal fascists.
Know what you mean, have had a squirrel in our garden and stripped all the Hazelnuts off the bush. Bush been in the garden for years and never had that happen before.
Shoot and eat a rabbit, shoot and eat a squirrel......how are they different?
Ok, so they are "immigrants" but they're still ickle furry cuddly beasties.
I suggest you get a couple of squirble-proof feeders then let the non-feathered b**tards have your table scraps instead.
Yayyy! ...and the reward for first anti-squirrel fascist post goes to Ecclescake!
I keep my bird seed in a tub under a bench in the garden. Squirrel has figured out how to get the lid off and I've found him, several times, sitting in the tub, filling his face.

He's such a cute little thing.

Always had a squirrel proof feeder but was quite taken by this string of nuts and fatballs, thought I'd give the birds a treat for a change. Wouldn't harm it at all.
It buries nuts in my planters and hanging baskets.
You can't outsmart a squirrel unless it's with an air rifle
I'm not going to present my full eco-credentials on here, but I fail to see why I'm an anti-squirrel fascist.

I am proposing solving a pest problem and utilising the product of my actions.

If I was suggesting trapping it, killing it and leaving for the foxes....or worse just binning it I would understand the shock/alarm/outrage/disgust.
Here he is on my bird table.
