where do i stand
2 Answers
Hi
I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I stand on this matter?.....
I bought a motorbike in feb and have been having trouble with it for the past few weeks, it wont hold any charge and kept on cutting out, I chece documents from where I purchased it and it came with a years warrenty, I checked with the dealership where I got it (second hand) and they said they would fix it as the problem is covered under their terms. So they picked it up on the 12th Sept (over 2 weeks ago) and every time i call to see whats going on they say they cant source the problem even though they have done some work on it, i get the same answer every time and its getting a bit old now, I live in the middle of nowhere and it is my only transport. I am paying for it in installments from a seperate financer over 3 years (the bike was £5000)
I really need it back asap but in working order, but i'm afraid that the could be working on it as and when because its through the insurance, hence them not getting paid in cash for any work done to it.
How long should I be expected to wait?
What are my rights?
Can I contact the finance company and tell them I wish to cancel payments and demand the cash back from which I have payed in? If so, how long should I wait until I take this route?
What would you do in this situation?
I'm getting really annoyed, yes I understand there is a serious problem with the machine, but I dont believe they are doing everything to get to the bottom of it.
