Has It Been 21 Days??

My laptop went in for repair on 23rd Jan (at about 5pm) under a warranty that states it must be back fully repaired within 21 days or they have to replace it with a new one. It came back on 5th feb. I took it home and found various (minor-ish) faults, some old ones and some new. I took it back on 7th feb (at about 5pm), and the 21 day period continues (doesn't re-start)..

So, I've heard nothing. If I ring them they may rush through the repair and return it, but I want a replacement.

When do you think it's been a fair 21 days?

I'm not sure if the 5pm drop offs will count as a day
I counted from the 24th so yesterday would have been 21 days :-)
Go into today and stamp about.
The 23rd was a Wednesday, The 2 weeks would have finished at about 5 pm on the 13th. But as mentioned above, your case is better if you have clearly give them a little leeway. Why not pop in to ask Saturday ?

I deducted the 2 days it came home, ummmm.

This laptop is actually a replacement from when they screwed up a few years ago!
Was't this laptop also a replacement in 2009 Sara?
Aw, didn't know about the feet, sara..... leave it 'til Monday then, then make a fuss and request a replacement if they can't fix it.
Go in....not fit for purpose...sale of goods act.....go home with new one.....
Does it state 21 working days though? Just a thought if youve included weekends in this 21 day window.

I would give them till Monday to sort it out, but call them today and say you would like it no later than then, as it's been over the 21 days now ...better still, if local, pop in if you can, in person, and tell the Manager...may get them to give it priority and sort it out quicker.

Plan B: You could always threaten to show them your arse tattoo :0) lol xx

Thanks all.. It's 21 days in total, not working days.

I think I'll go in tomorrow, but I really want a new one. If it arrives tomorrow and I could have had a new one today, I'll be very angry with all of you ;0)

I'd do it today with no warning....surprise attack as it were....better to get new one than face recurring problems.
The warranty states it must be back"fully repaired within 21 days". As it wasn't fully repaired the first time you got it back and there has already been 1 clear day, yesterday, since the 21 days, I would ring them today asking for a new one.
