Price Of Stamps

I notice that the price of stamps are going up at the end of March, 2p on a first class letter and 3p on second, extra cost for my quizzes.

It's nowt to do with yer pension, Cuddlyone, they need to upgrade their technology. :-D
The electronic signy-thingy froze on the postman this morning and he tootled to get it fixed.
I wanted my parcel!! Stuff technology, get back to pen and paper!
Getting back to pen and paper would/should increase the pension? xx

I have a sneaky feeling some High St retailers sell slightly discounted stamps........Superdrug might be one of them but I could be mistaken.

If you know anyone who uses CostCo you can get discounted stamps there too.

I don't have the stats to hand, but I think about 80-90% of first class are received the following day,
second class 2-3 days is good too.

That's outrageous - doesn't seem long since the last increase. Thankfully I get loads of 1st class stamps from Royal Mail for doing their survey. May stock up on a few packets of 2nd class though.

I did not know superdrug sold discounted stamps, we live 6miles out of town, but next time I go in , I will get some.

stock up on stamps now. If you buy ones marked 1st and 2nd, but without a price on them, you can use them forever regardless of what the official postage rate is.

And look online, people like WHSmith often sell at a discount.

Birthday card posted on the 5th Feb and didn't arrive till 19th Feb - I don't call that a good service or value for money and it's not the first time either. That said it is still a lot better than the Canadian Postal service.
