Gadgets To Press Tubes

Can't describe it any better but what I'm looking for are the keys or clips that you can use to squeeze the last remnants out of toothpaste and puree tubes
Do they have a proper name and where do I get them from? I tried Lakeland but "they don't sell them anymore".
Any ideas!!

I've just found loads but, since they don't seem to have a common name and I don't know exactly which type you're seeking anyway, I won't provide any direct links.

Instead I'll suggest doing what I've just done, which was to enter 'squeeze toothpaste tube' into Google and then click on the 'Shopping' link.

The trouble with these tube squeezers is trying to undo them once you've got everything out of the tube!

One way is to have the tube fully extended, hold it at opposite ends (cap on) and, holding it taut, run it from bottom to top over a sharp-edged corner of something (laminate worktop end is useful). This forces the contents ahead of the load point (the worktop's corner line) from bottom toward the top. Let any air out by taking the top off and squeezing the contents upward after the first pass, re-close the tube and repeat. This of course works with any flexible tube - but it must be intact, otherwise the contents will be forced out from any break.

Make sure you get a metal one. We had a plastic one but it simply wasn't strong enough, and broke with the effort of squeezing out the last bit of toothpaste.

I cut the tubes in half. I use a lot of Voltarol & have had extra four/five days cream/gel out of the tube by doing this.
