I need to get a present for my grandson. He is only into computer games and my limit is £25 so games are out, plus he has most of them. He plays footie for the local team and likes reading, but other granny has bought the latest David Walliams.
I thought of a gadget type thingy, but I am really stuck!

I know ABers will have ideas.
Thanks.

What about an indoor nano copter - I hope the link works. Fits in the palm of your hand. http://www.ebuyer.com/hubsan-nano-q4-quadcopter-h111 about half way down the page

Gamestation gift card? At least then he can choose to get a second hand game if he so wishes and you don't 'lose face' so to speak.
Can you ask his mam & dad for ideas? He's probably given them a big list!
A donation to the Salvation Army - perfect gift for child or adult who has everything and 'needs' nothing.
Give him the money.

Giftcard for GAME, a bootbag for his footie boots. If he supports a football team most of them have websites selling gifts. They do like money at that age too.
I would have been gutted if someone donated my birthday money to charity.
Believe me hard cash to a 12 year old is like manna from heaven -put £20 note in a card and spend the extra £5 on sweets for him.
I agree with Retrochic - buy him something trivial, wrapped for him to open, and include some money in it. I used to think that vouchers/cash were non-thinking gifts, now I believe there is no worse gift than something you don't want.

Went with your thoughts Quoi and ordered an air hogs atmosphere which also floats on air.
He had money for his birthday last week so I like to,get a gift for Christmas. There will be a fiver over for some stocking fillers.
Thanks guys and gals.
Merry Christmas!
I agree,at 12,money would make him feel grown up and can put towards what he wants
Brilliant choice, Carolegif.....I have bought something similar a couple of times......great fun if the kids can get it away from the dads.....

Only lost one light bulb but that was with a larger one......☺
I want one !.
Tony...Groupon has one for £15 instead of £30.....I love them...have a look.x
Try getting a book for a twelve yr old that is about getting a life! Computers are not the way forward for such a young person IMO.
Will do, gness.
I'm trying to see the connection between a radio-controlled "helicopter" and a computer, Dunitall. At twelve I wouls have loved such a toy but in 1957 it would have cost my dad a week's wages.

Girls are so much easier to buy for than boys!
Carole you are so right and the harder it gets for the male species as they get older!
