My (very mature for her age) 10 yr. old granddaughter adored a really pretty, flowery notebook and matching pen. I also buy her books and (if you know the size of the child) very fancy, sparkly socks! Bit of bling, in other words!
thanks, i forgot to add that they are visiting from abroad, and i don't think the girl has much english (although in that european way she can probably speak it better than her UK contemporaries!) and i'll have to get whatever it is in tesco or sainsburys
I have an 11 year old grandaughter and she loves anything with a bit of bling as jourdain2 has said. Hair bands and clips, pens, bracelets, necklaces, socks etc.
I was going to say exactly what jourdain2 has already said ! My niece always likes anything in the stationary line. In fact, for her 8th birthday, she had her first fountain pen, which she thought was very "neat" !
