The mix in the large outpatients waiting area at the Royal Marsden Hospital Sutton when I go there is easily 50-50 black/white and I am sure they are not all British born.

About privatisation: in a nearby town we have a large NHS hospital and a private hospital doing day surgery at the same cost as the NHS place. It is very efficient, with very caring staff and unlike the NHS hospital you are made to feel that you are a valued customer. Needless to say it is extremely popular.

The private Hospital is doing some of the work that the NHS does, and I presume that the NHS are paying the private place...........have I got that correct ?
