Have been a customer of EE on pay as you go for a long time and admit I don't use my mobile all that much, it is there for emergencies really. Had a text from EE saying that if I went into any of their shops and topped up with a minimum of £5 they would add and extra £10, this seemed to be too good to be true so off i went only to be told that although I was on EE my phone was bought before they took over from Orange and so I would need to buy a new sim card to take up the offer. I told them i thought it was a bit of a con and didn't bother. As anyone else come across this so called free offer. As they say if it seems to be too good to be true then it probably is
I too was on Orange PAYG and changed over to EE and had a new sim (kept the same number) along with a PAYG type package. I don't think I paid for my sim but had to buy top up. I changed as the packages suited better than Orange PAYG. Now each month I can boost my package with either calls, texts or data.
