I've just replaced my headphones(my vacuum ate the others' cables!) and now I'm having problems with my plugged in small camera (above). I know that everything is working, but when I click on the camera icon in the task-bar I get the get the usual small monitor image, but I then immediately get a larger monitor where everything looks normal except that there is no image, just a black screen, where normally I would see myself! If I then click on any of the options,eg: snapshot or video, the function starts but there is no image on the screen. Everything except the ability to see the image seems fine and I don't know what I've 'clicked' somewhere or somehow. I've tried uninstalling the lot! New headphone back in the box! Downloaded Microsoft latest drivers and software, gone into the 'settings' and slid the setting over for the Camera,to ON (I've even given permission to Donald Trump to interrogate my system) and I still can't get it to work!! I even went online to "Test Your Webcam With Our Online Tool"and ran all of the tests, but it's not playing!!
Any suggestions,please?
Thanks
The problem with the webcam was caused by the configuration of my security software,Namely Kaspersky! Because I had downloaded new software and drivers to accompany the webcam and they hadn't been 'scanned' or 'checked' by Kaspersky & 'OK'd' ,then whenever I clicked on the webcam icon to activate the prog the security prog stopped it! At least I think, that was the problem!
