My earrings have a little clip that slides on to the back of the bit that goes through my ear, but I can't see how that method can work with face jewellery. How do they keep these things that are dotted all over their faces 'in'?

Things like eyebrow bars have a little screw on ball that goes on the back, like belly bars do :)

The ones on their cheeks are probably glued, as they are models they won't be permanent.

But how do they get it on to the back when the jewellery is under the eye, or on the chin, or in the forehead, or somewhere else that is inaccessible from behind?

Ooh. I wish I hadn't looked at kvalidir's link. I felt a bit ill seeing the words 'eyelid piercing' and then really had to stop at clitoral and whatever came after that for men.
