Called into a shop and bought a few presents etc.

Putting items into my car when a gentleman asked me if I would look at his car seat cover - he was all excited. I locked my car and saw that he had a red car seat cover to match the colour of his car - he wanted to know my opinion - anyhow I said it was fine. He had got it from a nearby Barnardos' - I went over like an eejit as he had asked me - so I had a look around and spotted a large picture of a farm setting, you know a water well, a massive barrel, children playing, chickens, dogs, man and woman. Simply lovely - guess what it cost £2.95. Yippee - I have just cleaned the glass and hung it up. Oh the wooden frame is beautiful. Didn't I get a bargain.

Who users car seat covers these days? And why would you ask a stranger to look at it?

I think you were lucky but not in the way you think. I bet he was trying to lure you away from your car hoping you would not lock it so a friend could steal it or its contents.

Maybe I just have a suspicious mind.

I'm like Darcey, I find it a bit strange someone asking you to come over and look at car seat covers, I'm delighted you love the picture but did you go out to buy a picture? if you did, you got a bargain, it's only a bargain if you wanted it and went out to buy it and found it cheaper than expected
