Never mind the Brexit word, has anyone else noticed the prices in our supermarkets going up sharply recently? Even our local newsagents have just put their bread up another 10p this week..

Some prices have risen due to the weather last year wheat was one of the badly affected

I have. Bread, butter and milk. I don't really pay attention to other stuff.

When I went shopping yesterday I thought a lot of the prices had dropped - a lot of essentials were on promotion.

Some foodstuffs are far too cheap when compared to the 70s and 80s, such as milk at £1.48 for 6 pints. I was paying more than 24p a pint in the 70s, I'm sure. Chickens, too, are very cheap in the supermarkets.

Cheese is always on offer but I am puzzled at the comparatively high price of butter.

I've only noticed in our local corner shop. I'm also surprised how cheap some food stuffs are.

Well, in Tescos last week I saw the new plastic click top tubs of Fairy washing capsules in there for £12 a pack and I thought I was seeing things! No way would I pay as much as that. Fortunately I buy the washing capsules from Lidls that are much cheaper.

Tesco have the Click top Fairy Non Biological Washing Capsules 55 Washes down from £12 to £9 this week.

You'll always see fluctuations, look for offers and shop around if you can.

They are £10 at Morrisons and Asda. I buy Aldi's

It's natural conversation flow, bhg. They are washing machine capsules for your laundry, not dishwasher tablets, although I do buy Aldi's dishwasher tablets too :)

Well it is something I noticed when I was taken food shopping last week bhg481. They are washing capsules you wash your clothes with, not dishwasher tablets.
