My cooker hood lamp has broken off leaving the screw fitting inside the lamp housing! How can I access it easily? Should I be able to remove the glass in front of the bulb? I think it's a CVA hood.

With power off squirt some WD40 into fitting, leave for a while then with some long nosed pliers, you should be able to crush lamp base and unscrew it.

Ooh thank you, TonyV, will do!
Ok let me know how you get on
When this sort of thing has occurred to me in non-oven lamps I used to switch off the power and use long nosed pliers to try to grab part of the stuck bulb edge, and turn/unscrew it.

Failing that you need something that'll stick or clamp to the inside of the stuck bit to unscrew it.
Ah, just seen Tony already said much the same :'O
:-O
OG at least we have same idea which can't be to bad for a solution, I've used method several times and never failed yet, I'm touching wood as I type lol

Couldn't find the WD40 but found snipe nose pliers, pulled the housing slightly and get a grip and twist remains slightly, it came out quite easy! Thanks to all answerers!
Ok then that's good Vonda
