Getting a little tired of instant coffee, it seems to be getting weaker no matter what one I try. Thinking of buying a machine that uses freshly ground coffee ( not one that uses these sachets) looking at different machines, they can be expensive, anything from £150, to £400 / 500. Do you have one? if so are they worth the investment ? your experience please. thanks.

Have you tried a cafetiere or an italian style pressure coffee maker you put on the stove? I have heard good tnings about bean to cup machines too.

No, only used instant. thanks
Just type filter coffee machine into Amazon. You don't need to spend mega money. They range from about ten quid upwards.
Ours is a Krups. It's quite old now but it was about thirty quid when we bought it.

Have you tried Nescafé Azera? Best instant coffee I've ever tasted, and I'm very fussy about coffee! Quite expensive, but often on sale for £3 at Tesco. Three varieties available: my favourite is the Espresso
Agreed, Nescafe Alzera Intenso, reall strong coffee and not bitter. ^
I buy Nescafe Barista style coffee.
I like the Kenco 2 or 3in1s great nose and taste and only hot water needed.
Like tigger said...get a cafetiere.
These are classic...dont cost much and come in different sizes.

And there's the Italian style stove top that tigger also mentioned...

Anyone know why I can't post more than one link in an answer?
I agree with Pasta and for ground coffee for cafetieres I really like Sumatra from Waitrose.
I seem to have turned into Tigger!
Oh geeezzz...I'm sorry! How did I do that?
Funnily enough I was going to recommend a cafetiere anyway! ;o)
Well...I did it for you!!
;-))
I have a nespresso which uses pods. I love it.
Tis ok :)
The best coffee I've bought is Davidoff instant, until it became too expensive. Now it's £24 + £6 carriage per 100g from Amazon.
Yes I treated myself to a bean to cup one a few years back.
Bit of a fuss, needs regular emptying, cleaning, limescale removal, etc..
But well worth it. Only here for so long, need to get some treats out of life.
