Amazon Subscribe And Save

Why are items I have on order priced higher than current listing on website? I had a price increase notification which surprised me.
As an example, an item in my order is priced at over £9, yet if I click on it to look at the listing on the Amazon site, it's 7.50/Prime...the same price as when I first signed up to Subscribe and Save.
I feel like I'm being ripped off.

Perhaps the £1.50 difference is for postage? If you are a member of Amazon Prime most purchases are postage free. Not sure from your post if you are an Amazon Prime member or not.

I ordered about 10 items from Amazon yesterday. I think they're offering discounts for people who sign up to Prime - mine would have been something like £30. I didn't.

I'm a prime member, and gave several items on monthly, or every other month delivery. Another item is currently listed at 5.13...yet they are charging me about double in next week's delivery.
Yes...I'll be cancelling the 2 rip off items.

it happens when the supplier ups the cost. Many (most) of the items on S and S are delivered but not supplied by Amazon and when you enter into the S and S agreement, you fix which supplier will supply you. Every month when I get my "check your S and S" email, I check prices.

PS I also jiggle my deliveries around to make sure I get more than 5 when the more expensive items are due, that way i get the full 15% discount.

I've noticed many times the same item listed more than once as 'prime' at differing prices.

Oddly, this is the first time I've 'noticed' a price change email, and I've been getting these 2 particular items for months.
I googled this, and if seems to be one Amazon's tricks.
I just don't understand how they can charge more than the current listed price. It pays to be alert to this.

Have you checked who you are actually buying from, pasta? Is it Amazon, fulfilled by Amazon or market place?

yes suppliers can buy the prime service as part of what they offer customers, also they can buy into subscribe and save. They then set their own prices.
