Tesco sell it by approx weight, unfortunately not everyone notices the drop down box to change the amount and some are getting enough to freeze for a lifetime.
Just checked the weight business. Their picture is of a sturdy, fat bit of ginger, allegedly 100g.
But next week I'll try for 250g (thanks, I now see where I can change it), and see what I get.
Waitrose have real people going round doing the shopping (unlike Ocado, where it's all robots) and you'd have thought any self-respecting 'shopper' would have rooted around for a better bit!
(Yes Tora3, champagne socialists here. Or we would be if we weren't teetotal...)
Yes Fitz (re. shopping at capitalist enterprises). Not that we try and live up to our principles in that way - we’ll join in boycotts etc., but good luck to anyone who manages to live without supporting the ‘wrong’ firms.
We run with the hares and hunt with the hounds, I’m afraid, and ease our consciences by giving money to ‘good’ causes.
