At a bit of a loss as I always bought towels from Debenhams. I want quality towels that do a proper job - dry quickly and wash well.
I don't expect them to be super cheap.
Any recommendations?

John Lewis perhaps
We got some from Dunelm Mill recently - very pleased with them. Discovered our daughter had also bought the same sort and she's very pleased with them as well.
Both John Lewis and Marks and Spencer appear to have sales on towels at the moment
To be honest I've always bought my towels from
Dunelm as we like bath sheets rather than bath towels. I've always found them good quality
definitely Christy Towels. https://www.christy.co.uk/store-locator you can buy online or in selected stores.
I've got Christy towels that I've had more years than I care to admit. Still in great condition, so it's a brand I'd recommend. Easily available too.

I can't remember the last time I actually bought any type of towel. We've always taken the towels from hotels home with us. At one stage we had to stop as we had too many.
I find old worn towels dry you as well as & maybe better than new expensive ones. I only chuck them out (I mean relegate them to mopping rags!) when they are completely threadbare.
Piggynose, how very dare you!
Saying that, I recently found one in my laundry with a hotel name stitched in.
I bought my last batch of towels from Harrods during a rock bottom sale. I find them much of a muchness wherever really.
Like you I used to go to Debenhams for towels, but have now realised its less about where you buy them and more about looking for Egyptian Cotton content. Some of the supermarket towels rate very highly for performance as they are Egyptian Cotton, or as others have said Dunhelm are good or Next or M&S.

i get mine from Sainsburys as they last for years, had the last lot for 10 years and when i repainted the bathroom i bought new ones and gave the old ones to charity, the bath sheets 15 quid not sure of the others but you can check online.
I find Sainsbury's quite adequate. They last me for ages and are quite thick.
I'm not sure when I bought most of mine but they were made in England and I used to go to the factory shop to buy them, they used to make for lots of the big name stores. Sadly not there any longer but I did get a couple of very nice Austrian made ones from a store, Vossen maybe.
Debenhams.com is having blue star sale of towels. Looks like they have all the ones the store had
i got some lovely bath sheets and hand towels from studio cards very good price and quality x

Thanks for all the suggestions, I had a brain freeze
You can get towels of all sizes and costs on Amazon.

I won't be buying anything from Debenhams.com. It has nothing to do with Debenhams except the name - it is Boohoo
I got 4 new towels from Dunelm a few months ago. They were on sale so got them fairly cheap. I had to wash them a couple of times before they could dry properly.
