I agree with Douglas at 09.26.

Bizarre.

Not bizarre really. Abbey has learning difficulties and some mental health issues, she is autistic and lives at home at 32 so hasn't got the social and decision making skills most of us have. So minor issues become major issues.

Don't know about bizarre, I find it sad that a 32 year old, apparently, can't make any kind of decision by themself.

NMA, I think you are exaggerating Abbey's 'problems' to quite some degree there.

I'm just repeating what she's told us. But whatever the reasons of someone here can't make basic decisions like what to have for tea or what colour nails to have, and dwells and frets over what yous are trivial issues then there must be an underlying issue. I think the difficulties are severe ( jourdain referred to ESN- educationally subnormal- which is an older term for learning difficulties.

Telling someone like this to grow up or stop fretting or make a decision themselves is unlikely to change anything.

My honest opinion on these free makeover offers :

They will tell you your skin is either too dry or too oily, try and add in all sorts of expensive creams which are no better than Nivea and you will end up ££££££s poorer.

You are capable of doing your own make up, but  remember tokeep off the dark red lip gloss and go paler with pink.

Here are the Estée Lauder prices.

Their perfumes are  overpowering.

I'm not sure Abbey has ever said she is autistic, or has learning difficulties. She has said she has dyspraxia.

...and at times, has been depressed.

Thanks, Jo.

Abbey just sounds a bit naive for her age. I know she has to take meds for epilepsy as she said she forgot to take it one eve.on here

Okay if people have a better explanation for abbey's 'bizarre '  posts and issues then I'd be interested to know what they are.

To me abbey writes like a 5 year old and has no concept of what's important  and what's trivial.  For example she said herself she hadn't heard of Gaza:. ( no not the geordie footballer and she dwells for months on some issues that seem minor to us. She can't hold down any job and seems incapable of living independently. She also craves attention... hence her repeated posts.

Yes some have suggested it's all made up to generate traffic but others have said it's not.

Welcome, Captain.

Are you sure your meagre wages will stretch to professional makeup and a night in an expensive restaurant with enough left to live for the rest of the week and service your debts, to say nothing of cavorting with the many men you have dangling?

Auntypoll at 1022 is spot on. What lots of us think. Those who think all these issues are real why not say the kind thing - men on dating websites are not looking to get together with so much baggage or straters.

And bizarre yes , posts about money worries with so much kind help and suggestions are then slapped in the face by abbey asking about a makeover with one of the most expensive cosmetic brands on the hight street. I know, I use a few of their products, over £35 for a foundation, £26 for an eye pencil....
