I had a pair of earrings I bought from a festival several years ago - they were plain silver spirals without backs, the end of the spiral itself went through the piercing if you see what I mean. Unfortunately I lost one, and as they were from a stall I have no idea where I could buy them. Does anyone know somewhere I could send the remaining one off to, so that a matching one could be made for me?

you could always take them to a jewellers that make there own jewellery they shoud be able to help for a small fee. Look in your local yellow pages.
Try ringing the arts & crafts department of a local college or university - they may do it cheaply, or even free if you provide the materials.

Thanks guys, those are both very helpful suggestions :) Cheers.
Can you remember which festival it was ? It might be worth posting a Q in the Music Section, so that if anyone is going to that festival this year, they could have a look out for a jewellery stall and make a note of the owner's name & phone number for you (it's possible that they would be having a stall there again this year).

Yeah - it was the V festival - but it would have been 2003 so was quite a while ago. If all else fails I'll give that a try though, could be worth a shot. Cheers!
There's a lovely little chappy (I think he's an elf actually, you'd understand if you saw him) who does wonderful silver smith work and repairs. He's situated in "the Monarch" in Glastonbury and he repaired a favourite spiral bracelet of mine and charged me 5 and a hug. (seriously). His work is superb and I'd recommend him highly.
He trades as Fingers and Thumbs, if you can't trace him, let me know and I'll ask one of my friends who lives there to pop round and get his number for you.
I was just thinking, if he can' reproduce your ear ring, he might be able to modify the remaining one to be worn on a chain? Just a thought, hope it helps,

Aw thank you so much! He sounds great - I'll try to track him down and let you know how I get on. I like the idea of a chain but really would prefer to get another earring made - they're very unusual and have got lots of compliments in the past and I miss them. Thanks for your reply though, it's a big help.
