cleaning silver
I have seen a demonstration of a simple electrolytic set-up to clean tarnished silver jewellery. It involved an aluminium foil (pie dish) container and a solution (possibly washing soda). A battery is then connected, one terminal to the foil and the other to the silver. Does anyone have any more precise details? Many thanks in advance

Even better than aluminium foil, it cleans gold & brass too. I bought one having seen it demonstrated (at a car show) and have since bought loads for presents as they're so good, and so easy to post!
