cheap pay as you go mobile phone

I use a phone for emergencies only so don't want any bells or whistles - just phone calls and texts. Any recomendations?

get an old hanset off someone you know-people are always updating their phones. Then go to o2 website and get pay as you go sim for about �1 if you pretend you are a student!! Just have to lie about your age and make up a course you're studying. Worked for me anyway!

Thanks but sadly O2 has no reception in this house! Gd idea to use old handset tho.

Ok lol Pay as you go sim cards are pretty cheap anyway. Just make sure handset is unlocked or will work with whatever provider you choose.
