I've just gone onto a web site to buy a gift for my husband for christmas. I've looked at the price of the gift and all prices are 0.00. I've selected my gift and gone to checkout - still it reads 0.00 (even p&p). If I went through the sale procedure, what would happen ?

That's a bit scarey scots-fllic, because it was a tartan store I've just been on - sttrrrrange! Anyway, I've gone through with it. I'll let you know in a couple of days if I get my order or an e-mail asking for the correct amount. Oh, well, worth a try. I wouldn't normally do something like this but i'm really skint !!!!
Question Author
SCOTS_FLLIC!!! It's the same site - or at least part of the same network. I'm really freaked out !
no probs,

Wondering if I should wait a couple of days or just do it now incase they add prices later lol

So far i've got 12 items in my basket that can be delivered for nothing!

I was thinking of maybe ordering a kilt !!! I only ordered 2 scarves !!! But then they might be 20 each - If I'm asked for the right amount for them I'm going to be chuffed ! I did notice that bagpipes had a right price. Don't you think it strange that we were on the same site AND on AB aswell? or is it just me?
I've got 3 full bed sets, 2 trinket boxes (which is the real reason I was on the site in the first place) and some cushions in the basket.

Think I'll just go ahead and order too, but then again when was the last time u got something for nothing?

How did you 'pay' for the goods?
Question Author
Just as you normally would. You have to go through the normal checkout routine. I gave my payment details but remember to print a copy of your receipt at the end - just in case! Oh, and I didn't want to be too mean so I opted for the 2nd class mail - 3 days delivery instead of really quick-2minutes-at your door-beforeyouknowit-option.
So anyway, don't you think it's strange?????????........... ........
Totally, Where you from? I'm in Paisley ....

Will just put the order thru, there's always the option of sending the stuff back .... (I hope)

Blackpool - I never expected anyone to be on the same two sites !!! Even though B/pool is really Scotlands riviera !!!???
Hehe. Nope, whats the chances ... ?

Will keep you posted if a large amount of money disappears from my bank account!

Same here Jen. Wonder what will happen if we don't get charged - should we have a shopping spree?? We'd best keep our secret under wraps - don't want too many finding out about it.. Speak in a few days.
Jane
I've done my spending spree b4 they catch on lol

Jen.
hope you two are proud of yourselves. I had no idea what website you have been on, so I went in search of a bargain and ended up doing the usual 'spur of the moment' purchase. The magic word lept out at me "reduced" and I bought a clan crest in a frame.

Good luck in bagging a bargain.
Jane,

Cancel that order ASAP. I just got a bill for 408.12!!!!!

They wanted 256.08 for a duvet set!

Jen, I saw your msge at work this morning. I can't sign in to send a message from my work computer nor can I go to hotmail to see if I had any emails. It is quite funny though isn't it!! I had an email with an invoice for 30 ish. They've totally disregarded the fact that we bought things for 0. What did you do?
Hey ya,

Phoned them up this morning and told them the story, and the fact that I wanted the order cancelled.

He gave no explanation as to why the prices were zilch but said that all he could do was to credit my account and cancel the order in full. I also wrote an e-mail to confirm this, which they replied to.

Internet banking hasn't been updated yet to check tho.

Lesson learned!
