You've entered into a legally-binding contract to make a purchase. The company have every right to deliver the gas fire you don't want and keep all of your money.

The only right to a refund, with any purchase, is when the item is found to be faulty (or does not comply with the vendor's description) within a very short period after purchase. If the item is 'as described' and not faulty, there's no right to a refund.
