is my car roadworthy?
i have bought a car which I found out afterwards was a cat C. I wasnt told by the garage I bought it off, is this legal? also, they didnt give me a log book. This is the first car I have ever bought so didnt really know much about it, and assumed they would tell me any info i needed to know. Since buying the car, ive found out i have two slightly buckled back wheels and so really shoudl by new wheels. the garage i bought the car off said they didnt knoqw it was a cat C, but ive had a letter saying i need to get some VOSA thing sorted because of a problem with the documentation. Should i be worried about the roadworthiness of this car? more importantly, did the garage do wrong in seeling it to me without telling me and with no log book? help! i am really clueless!

I hope you got your car for a good price, because as it is a cat c you should have got it for a cheaper price as opposed to buying exactly the same car that is not a cat c. All you need to do to get your car legally on the road is get a 'vehicle identity check test' booked for your car with VOSA which costs 38. When your car has been tested and everything is sorted, you will be able to tax your car and send of for the log book.
