Shared Freehold Lease Rights
Hi, I live in a small block of flats (8) and we have recently purchased the lease.
Last week one of my neighbours stated that he thinks he has "something" living in the ceiling void in his flat and is making a noise late a night
He would like to get a pest control person in to take a look. Would he be responsible for that cost or is it something that the whole group would have to pay for ?

be responsible for the payment of the pest control. If the flats with adjoining walls are Not complaining about the noise, then it is localised within the structure of his flat.
How long has he had this problem? If it is only bothering him then its his responsibility.
He should get onto it right away as if a rat/or mouse is there then they will eat plasterboard to get out,
Where is his flat located? If at top of building then it could be a trapped bird.
