Tragus piercing

I got my tragus pierced a week ago and its still quite sore.I know it takes a few months to heal properly but was wondering if anyone has theirs done and how long it took to heal.I'm cleaning it with warm water and salt,should i just keep doing do until its starting to look and feel a bit better?

well it is more fleshy than the lobe i suppose and so more prone to infection, try using soft anti-bacterial wet wipes on it in between the cleaning.

I've had mine done. Took 6 weeks to heal, some could take longer though. I have had cartilage piercings go wrong. You've only got trouble when a bump starts forming near it. Very difficult I know, just don't knock it. Your piercing is a foreign object and doing anything to remind your body it is there will start a rejection process. No wipes, no cotton wool and no ear buds. Squirt your cleaning solution on it and only turn them in the shower.


If you do get a bump eventually, thats another long winded answer but Ill look out for it.

it can take anywhere between 2/12 months to fully heal.

Wash with warm water at least 3 times a day, and use a non iodized sea salt

My husband has his tragus pierced, it healed in no time. He just sprayed it with Savlon antiseptic wound wash a few times a day for the first few weeks and hes never had any problems with it at all.

I loved mine but had to take it out cause it got infected, as Goodsy said it got a lump beside it. My piercer gave me hell for not cleaning it properly lol so make sure you do
