How come when ever I get paid.....

all the shops I've been looking in for the last 20 - odd days suddenly hide all their nice clothes when I enter the shop? They must do this because whenever I've got no money in the bank they have got the most dazzling array of clothes, but when I get paid they don't seem to have anything other than granny clothes. Is this a government conspiracy to keep me looking rubbish and staying single?

Most stores offer a reservation, lay-by service for a 7 day period usually, you should make use of this the week before you get paid.
