To follow on from your previous thread about cheques. I had a bit of a shopping splurge on Friday - at various different shops (food shopping at Asda, undies for kids at Peacocks and bedroom nik naks at Wilko's).

Each of my debit card transactions are showing on my statement as the 23rd (the following day - Saturday).

The do not take as long as it's been suggested.

I have a Halifax current account, just for info.

Hi there. I also have a halifax account. Usually when you pay for goods with debit card, it depends on different shops , some transactions come off straight away, others take a few days. Its best to make sure funds are in your account to avoid any bank charges. Hope you dont get any, coz they are a pain, 35 with halifax last time I had one a few weeks ago.
