hairdryer help !!!

at the moment im using a 2000 watts hairdryer i want to buy a new one my hair is quite think and would like one that drys really fast so does this mean i have to go for a higher wattage for my hair to dry more quickly ??

i would reccommend then one i got its a remington 2200 watts,some aber on here suggested,i got it online from amazon,think its was about �20,fantastic power compared to my old one, hang on will check,its a remington DC-3701!!!!
