I need to return some unused unopened frozen foods(stupid bulk purchase!) to supermarket- but i don't have receipts. However , i did pay by credit card- but i don't have credit card receipt either !.
Will refund be accepted on processing of my credit card? - and can i do it at any store location -or specifically only where i purchased from?

Hi tali,
Had a word with mrs bear on this one......she says/thinks that if tins, bottles etc.... POSSIBLY the store would change them.....for frozen and even fresh items, once it leaves the store, you will find it very hard, if at all, for the store to take them back, as they dont know where you've stored them yourself, and policy not to take them on return.

I'm probably sticking my neck out here, but I'm 99% certain that the Sale of Goods Act says that a retailer is not obliged to accept returned goods unless there is a fault present. Just returning the goods because the customer inadvertently bought too many, the wrong colour, wrong size, or whatever isn't a valid reason for a refund. It's all down to the goodwill of the shop.
