where can i buy a long black coat like the ones worn in the matrix films?  also what were the coats in the films made of, leather or cloth?

In the film they wear a variety of coats, leather, PVC and fabric.  Real leather ones are fairly easy to come by in leather goods shops, fake leather a bit more difficult, particularly for men.  PVC are fairly readily available in gothic-type clothes shops.  Wool-type long coats are reasonably common at this time of year, again particularly women's, but they are often a straight and less 'swishy' style (if you see what I mean).  My bf spent a year searching for one in a lighter fabric than wool and finally ordered a custom-made one called www.shadowfae.com.  It's a US site and they take quite a long time but everything is hand made to your specifications.
