Halloween costume

I'm going to a fancy dress halloween party and don't want to be the same old witch like i am every year, but I do have two ideas that I want your opinions (sensible one's only please) on . . .

1) a mummy. It's something i've always wanted to do, but if you use toilet roll it fails doesn't it? but how easy and practical is it to create one with say bedsheets cut into strips and then wearing it?

2) A pirate. They're not that halloweeny but what about making it look like one of those scary baddy ones from pirates of the caribbean? Plus i already have lots of piratey stuff such as; brown shoes with a bronzy goldy buckle, patterned tights, red and black stripy skirt, grey and black stripy top, cream waistcoat and i can briad my hair and put stuff in it like a bandana.

And i don't want to be a ghost, If you don't think either of those above suggestions are any good, can you suggest something cheap and easy to do that's original and not babyish xx molly

lol...just to check wrap your hand in toilet roll and see how long it lasts...

My nephew did it one year and I think I remember him catching it on everything it and ripping ever so easily.

You could do it with the costume you already have, white face paint, black eye liner, and red around the eyes.

Exactly hc but with a bit of red on my skirt and lips and i'd look like one of the pirates from the film, but mum and dad think i'll look silly ebcause it's not halloweeny enough, even though we saw zombie pirate costumes in tescos!

I've tried all the stuff on to make sure it still fits and it looks quite piratey.
