Can you use a visa electron to purchase stuff from Tesco direct - someone told me you can't buy your groceries on-line using one. Thanks

This is what the 'help' bit of Tesco Direct says -

The following cards are accepted: MasterCard, Visa Credit Card, Maestro, Switch or Delta debit card or Solo card, American Express & Clubcard Plus.

I hope that helps.

Even more precise:
"We unfortunately cannot accept any other type of card, e.g. Visa Electron"
