Are you stuck on abbreviations and wondering what they mean, or how to do a particular stitch?

I am knitting a dog coat and at the point of the leg openings. I have cast off as requested so I will have x 2 openings.
The pattern states that all leg sections are worked at the same time using separate ball wool for each section.
This is the line I am stuck on ....
beginning with a purl row work 1.5 inches in stocking stitch from the cast off stitches, ending with right side facing for next row.
