Photos from mobile phone to laptop

I have a Samsung J700 mobile phone and when I try to transfer the photos to my laptop the following message comes up "Unable to initialise data engine" Can anyone tell me what to do please.

So you have a Samsung USB driver installed?
and are using Samsung software?
Or someone elses software?

Hi you must load the software on to your computer from the disc which came with your phone or go to the Samsung web site and download it from there It is a must with Samsung

Or you could cheat- if your phone has the option to forward mail/images to email addresses, send your pictures to yourself using that option.
