What Cameron says & What Cameron does...
What Cameron says:
// David Cameron promises to 'tear down big government': In a wide-ranging critique of Labour’s 12 years in power, Mr Cameron repeatedly pledged to cut government bureaucracy and return “power to the people”. //
:Conservative Conference 2009
What Cameron does:
// Since the General Election David Cameron has created 117 new peers, according to a report from the Constitution Unit.
This leaves the House packed to the rafters and prompts “a major concern that if appointments continue, the House of Lords will simply cease to be able to function”. //
Each of these 117 additional Lords can claim a daily allowance of £335 (tax free) each. So much for reducing "Big Government".
I know plenty of you were unimpressed with Blair and Brown, but do you think DC is a good Prime Minister?

However, unfortunatley I have to agree with you. I suspect alot haas to do with pampering to the liberals but that is not what I voted for. They are the majority party they should not pamper to Cable or any other limp wristed liberal. If they cannot get on then go back to the country.

Modeller, Blair created an average of 37 peers per year, Cameron has created 117 in eleven months! At this rate, they'll be hanging out of the blessed windows by 2015!
However, I totally agree with you about Lords Spiritual. Why are these dignitaries of the Church of ENGLAND allowed to legislate for the people of BRITAIN? If they must, they should be accompanied by similar numbers form the other national churches. Even if I were English, I'd still disagree with their right to create laws for England anyway.
In answer to the question, Cameron & Co are pretty pathetic...he goes to the strife-torn Middle East accompanied by a herd of arms-manufacturers...the Health Secretary fails to attend the nurses' conference and the Education Secretary fails to attend the teachers' one.
I loved it when the junior minister who DID attend the teachers' one said, "Michael's on holiday" when asked why he wasn't there. A cry went up from around the hall, "So are we!"
