This, of course, will cost money, which we as either the fare payer or as the tax payer, we will have to pay for.
Cue screaming headlines of "Why Are We Paying So Much In Fares / Taxes ?!!!!!"
I could rant on but I probably have / will in another thread. Unfortunately, today's events have just given Bush / Blair et al justification for their war and almost guaranteed the introduction of ID cards in the UK. This is what terrorists want, they want us to restrict our own lives with ever more draconian "security" measures. Look at the air industry, the completely hystercial search for sharp objects. Don't they realise that 911 ended hijacking as a tactic. Yet we still get pulled up for having a set of nail clippers.
You can't screen everyone all you can do is be reasonably vigilant.
