I think she's very brave having gone through with the surgery. I'm not sure why the whole world needed to know about it though...?

Well, if it meant the potential between life and death, especially with children, I don't think I'd hesitate. I think it may help others feeling the same too so fair play to her for revealing it (similar to Catherine Zeta Jones being so honest about her bi-polar).
@MadMen-maybe the whole world-or all women at least- should know. It brings to light choices and tests available to those at risk. That can't be a bad thing.
My next question is: has anybody here done the test? Presumably those that have answered to my first question and said they'd do it, haven't done the test.

But surely if you went private you could be tested? Angelina Jolie's Mum was 56 when she died. What I read this morning was her mother died of breast cancer so not sure which article is right.
