Year 2 Sats Help
My son is due to carry out his SATS in May this year and I was wondering if anyone had any helpful information about what to concentrate on with him. He is not behind in any subject but I want to give him the best chance of getting some good grades/scores!
Any websites or guidance with help would be appreciated.

I have seen pupils who have been coached very heavily in taking SATS at KS2 and they achieve a level which means the expectations place don them in secondary school are unachievable. Targets are set for secondary schools based on the SATS and I have known pupils given targets of A/A* when in reality grade C is the best they can achieve, and as a result they are constantly flagged up as being off target.
Having said that, if it's just a little bit to get them up a sublevel and/or achieve their potential then I can suggest some sites when I get chance. A tutor can also help but I wouldn't overdo it

Hi
Thanks for your replies, he is only 7 years old so not at senior level yet. I haven't mentioned anything about him being tested but I wanted him to possibly get the higher grades then be on the middle bordering into the high scores. His English and spelling is great but wanted to push the maths side a little ... I always loved maths and once I got past the fractions (I know hes not there yet) ... then there was no stopping me.
Looks like Monopoly for Kids is about to get opened this weekend!!
