I was thinking something very similar myself. Who are we all, why are we doing this, why aren't we doing something else? I only found this site recently, but have already become familiar with the names of the hard-core group of contributors - Andy Hughes, Mikewith, Einstein, Moonacre, Waldomcfroog, Whiskygalore, Unabashed, Snaykz, MTVessel. Apologies to anyone I've missed out! Do we have lives away from our PCs??!!

My job is so boring that I'm glad for any mildly diverting task, plus I love finding out answers to obscure questions. Although I concur I probably spend way too much time on here!

Well, flirty, I have a job where I get to sit at a desk and read books and surf the Net all day in the interests of research, so it's just too tempting to log on here every few hours and see what's going on.

Whiskygalore and Tartanwizard - I'm a mixture of the 2 of you! Not so interesting a job, a liking of obscure questions (isn't it odd what some people ask!) and preferring this to the TV! At least we're learning things here! Don't mention the mention, Tartanwizard - my pleasure!!

Tartanwizard - we must be of one mind! I too like the feeling of being able to help others - it makes one feel 'good'!!! As you say, it is far too addictive though! I have a secretarial job which is OK - nothing too brain-taxing after the number of years I've been doing it! This site is a sort of escape, a chance to find out if there are others with the same outlook on life and its problems. Might catch you on another category! Apologies to Ravenhair for imposing on his/her email facilities!
