Hi,

I'd like to move to the valleys where I work, yet it always seems to be raining and windy. Is it like this all the time? Is it confined to the valleys?

Many thanks.

It only rains for 364 days a year!
Yup, the Valleys are pretty vile, climate-wise. You could try Mid Wales, where it rains so much they export it to Birmingham, or Cardiff, where it just drizzles on a fairly permanent basis...
I used to live in South West Devon on the edge of Dartmoor and believe me it rained a lot. It's to do with the clouds moving up to go over the hills. Whenever we drove to East Devon the weather was always better!
Hi I live in the Valleys and always have, the weather is a myth - its neither better nor worse than anywhere else (unless youre moving to Merthyr, where it probaly is worse than anywhere else- it snows in july there.:-)
Also work in Cardiff and again in all seriousness I would bet the rainfall is no worse that anywhere else in the UK (on average) although, I could of course well be wrong.

I come from Mountain Ash in South Wales and yes it is mostly rainey and when it is it's crap but when it is sunny it is the most scenic place on earth. The 1 day of sunshine makes up for the rest of the year. Go to Wales !
