Profile Names

Why can't we change our profile names in the user details section? Is it because some people have a tendency to keep changing their names and causing mischief? It's not a problem for me, but two people have answered my question about user names, wishing to change and I thought it best to check. Thank you.

For those who contacted me about changing your profile names, I've just had an e-mailfrom Ed and you have to go through red contact us section at the bottom of the page. Hope that helps.

There did used to be the facility to change your name. As you say, some people abused this - like there was a Milly (with double L in the middle) and someone changed their user name to MilIy (with an L and a capital i in the middle - spot the difference) and the made posts and generally caused mischief. And other names were misused in a similar way. Hence the reason for withdrawing the facility.
